Getting to know yourself through the Tarot.

Today the wonderful world of the Tarot revealed its secrets to our group on the foundation course “The Basics of Psychological Tarot”.
How quickly time flies! It feels as if we have only just begun, and our first meeting with the cards was only yesterday.
For some it was quite hard going. Only today did they finally manage to relax and meet their own deep and genuine interest in the Tarot.
- Some came intending to get the most out of it and kept zealously demanding interpretations (sometimes even from themselves).
- Some wanted explanations, clarifications, formulas and, above all, advice on “how to do it right”.
Either way, the meeting with the Tarot took place, and it brought to the surface what each of us had hidden so carefully, even from ourselves.
- Do I like myself like this?
- Can I accept in myself everything the Tarot symbols have shown me and will go on showing me?
It is a pressing, important question, and the answers will not be long in coming!

People feel differently about the Tarot. Yet no one who has ever touched the cards has stayed indifferent to them.
Passion, curiosity, impatience, fears and doubts — these are just a few of the feelings that newcomers to the Tarot meet.
And not only newcomers!
Primed by “scary” stories about magic and witchcraft, sometimes embarrassed and ashamed of ourselves, we dig our true longings out from under a heap of beliefs and “shoulds”:
- An insatiable thirst for knowledge.
- A hunger to meet ourselves, and someone who is alive and capable of warm, friendly contact.
- A wish to be alone.
- A yearning for love and acceptance.
- An endless appetite for exploration.
- The passion and delight of meeting something that can tell you about yourself.
We hide all of this as we hurry through our familiar everyday life, wandering alone in search of spiritual food.
Quality of life is about how happily you live.
Happiness is the right to choose yourself, your own wishes and directions.
It is the right to your own strength, which you use to fulfil your own wishes, not someone else’s.
Today’s session resonated with incredible depth and became one more successful and important step for everyone. A step into the deep-water world of meanings and reflections of your own Soul, thanks to the symbols encoded in every card.
Striving too hard for a result, a person often misses what matters most. Those important meanings that lead to knowing yourself, and the joy that comes only from living your own, true life.
What makes up the foundation of being — states, sensations, feelings and emotions.
Living the world through judgements and advice, rejecting everything “wrong”, “imperfect”, “not up to standard”, “weak”, “helpless”, a person lives as if behind glass. Cut off from themselves and from the chance of warm, open contact with others.
The Tarot, as a tool for knowing yourself, helps you meet the parts of your soul you once rejected.
And it makes that meeting wondrous, secret, cosy, and sometimes simply overwhelming! But always so longed for and so tender!
Today the power of the world of symbol and metaphor opened up before the participants, sweeping away every barrier on the path to knowledge.
Thanks to the patience and trust of each and every one, we managed to lift the veil of mystery a little and show how a Tarot Arcanum behaves once you get it “talking”.
Need I say anything about the impressions and the eyes wide with wonder with which the participants saw these amazing possibilities of the Tarot today?
Thank you for the courage and trust that set off such wonderful discoveries.
The Tarot is incredibly interesting for those who sincerely long for that meeting!
See you in class!
I wish you all love, above all for yourselves!
And I invite everyone who is searching for themselves and wants to do it in a cosy and safe company
of kindred spirits to join us!
Anna Oleksandrivna Shyman, course leader.
