“I don’t understand what this picture is telling me, I’m confused.”
“What exactly do you want to understand?”
“Well (pause), I want to understand how to act rightly.”
“And what will that give you?”
“(pause) I won’t feel (tension, pause) helpless and stupid.”
“And what comes along with that?”
“Powerlessness and emptiness.”
“And what is in the emptiness?”
“I don’t know (pause), it’s scary (animation, pause), oh (excitement), I think I’ve got it (surprise), I’ve understood the card’s message (delight).”
Today is graduation day on our course on working with metaphorical cards, “The Metaphorical Universe”!
Today, with this amazing group, we worked on creating and crafting personal symbols.
Do you know how a symbol is born?
It flares up like a bright star in the very place and at the very moment when the light of consciousness reaches into the unconscious and meets an ocean of energy there.
A mystery hidden in the depths of the soul meets meaning and takes on form. That very, unique form which is possible in the moment, here and now.
That very form which awakens a response on every level of a person’s existence.
Working with metaphorical cards is like the jeweller’s craft, which demands great precision, sensitive fingers, a measured pace, persistence and patience.
Sometimes the unknown is so unbearable for a person that they are ready to reject any tension.
A love of control often turns the amazing process of self-discovery into a pointless, worthless and futile occupation.
Wanting to control the emptiness, people find all sorts of pointless things to do.
What do you resort to every day so as not to meet the inner tension and emptiness that almost always bring anxiety and fear?
And what if you managed to understand the messages of your soul?
- What would you do then?
- How would your life turn out?
- What feelings fill your reality?
The language of the unconscious is symbolic and full of nuances.
- What is true, and what is not?
- What is right for me, and what is not?
- What is my truth, and what is my verity?
- If I knew WHO I AM, what would I do right now?
We looked for answers to all these questions over five months, which flew by in an instant.
The world of images is amazing and takes skill! One abrupt movement and everything dissolves like morning mist.
If you imagined emptiness, it would look like early morning on a riverbank. Where, above the mirror-smooth water, a whitish mist drifts mysteriously, hiding something intriguing from prying eyes. It is so thick that you cannot tell where is up and where is down, where is the past and where is the future. Reality seems to cease to exist, and you sink into this weightless haze. You let this emptiness embrace you and hide you from prying eyes.
You dissolve in it and sink into a world of dreams and fantasies, symbols and secrets that spread as wonderful sensations through your body.
This is what the state of unity and wholeness looks like. When you become one whole with yourself and the world around you.
When you become yourself.
For five months we learned to understand the language of symbols through metaphorical cards. We learned to reach a state of unity with the emptiness, which is in fact full to the brim!
Full of you yourself!
I thank this wonderful group, who showed a very good level of psychological preparation, thanks to which we reached great depth in studying metaphor.
Thank you for your trust. I look forward to seeing you at our next events, I have new master classes in mind, and I invite everyone interested to our course on working with metaphorical cards, which starts on 21 March!
With love, Anna Oleksandrivna Shyman, course teacher.
