On the course you will discover what metaphorical associative cards can offer for self-development and self-knowledge, and in the work of a psychologist or other helping professional. You can expect an accessible explanation of psychological concepts and an introduction to how the cards work in different areas of human life: relationships with yourself and others, choice, responsibility, effective communication, talking with children, conflicts at work and at home. The course includes plenty of practice for those who want to master metaphorical cards as a tool for developing imagination, for psychological support, psychological correction and modelling. You will also:
- gain basic knowledge about perception and a person’s mental space
- learn about the main models of inner reality and how they influence a person’s life choices
- get to know the main roles typical of a person, how they show up and ways of correcting them
- get to know the mechanism of projection and methods of using it in work with metaphorical associative cards (MAC)
- learn the basics of the emotional-imagery method for working with emotions and feelings
- learn to create, model and correct images of inner and outer reality with the cards
- get to know different MAC decks and the specifics of using them in practice for different requests
- learn to identify current requests (your own and your clients’)
- master the basic skills of consulting with MAC

MODULE 1
INTRODUCTION
- Metaphor in psychology and everyday life.
- Getting to know MAC decks.
- The human psyche. Perception. Imagination.
- Mechanisms of projection and how they are used in work with the cards.
- The structural model of the psyche.
- Basic role models of inner reality.
- Basic techniques of working with the cards (exploration, modelling, the “Triangle” technique, the “Four Points” technique and others).
MODULE 2
PRACTICAL USE OF MAC IN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT; WORK WITH THE “SELF-CONCEPT” AND “EGO STATES”
- Broadening your ideas about yourself, other people and the world as a whole.
- Social masks and roles. Identifying, correcting and widening patterns of behaviour and of how you present yourself.
- Work with subpersonalities.
- Identifying needs and resolving inner conflicts.
- Techniques for working with desires.
- Conscious and unconscious drives. Work with the shadow parts of the personality: identification, integration.
- The territory of instincts. Work with fears.
- Practical methods of working with self-esteem.
MODULE 3
RELATIONSHIPS. CONFLICTS. RESOURCES
- Overcoming conflicts; “I-messages” with the cards.
- Dependency in relationships. Methods for uncovering hidden needs and correcting behaviour; resources for meeting your needs in relationships.
- Love relationships. Modelling and analysing situations with the cards.
- Sexuality. Blocks, complexes, overcoming them.
- Work with the family and ancestral system: identifying the family patterns of the participants; becoming aware of how other members of the family system influence a person’s choices; modelling, exploring and correcting behaviour.
- Work with parent–child relationships.
MODULE 4
GOAL SETTING. COMMUNICATION SKILLS. PSYCHOLOGICAL IMAGE.
- Goal setting: creating a goal, checking that it is ecological, ways and methods of reaching it, resources and obstacles on the way to achieving it.
- Positioning yourself in business contacts with the cards. Techniques for stepping into a role.
- Modelling situations in business. Success in negotiations with the help of the cards.
- Coaching techniques: identifying and finding resources, exercises, behaviour scripts, techniques for uncovering hidden needs, correcting behaviour.
- Psychological image with the cards. The “BE — DO — HAVE” triangle.
MODULE 5
- Foundations of emotional-imagery perception in work with the cards.
- The language of the subconscious: the concept of the “symbol”.
- Colour and form in working with feelings and emotions.
- The “Colour Attunement” technique for correcting emotional states.
