In the depths of each of our psyches lies a power we have no idea of.
Almost a hundred years ago Carl Gustav Jung took a new look at the structure of the psyche. In his view, beneath the level of the subconscious (the personal unconscious) lies an even vaster and more mysterious layer of the soul — the collective unconscious. Its structural elements are the ARCHETYPES.
Archetypes are images, symbols or patterns of action, universal to all people, that fill the collective unconscious. We most often meet them in our dreams.
Whether or not we are aware of their influence, our lives and actions are bound up with the influence of the archetypes. We most often find them in unexpected feelings or thoughts, in an intuitive sense of how to act “right this second”, in inexplicable actions or desires. Yet the influence of the archetypes should not be seen as chaos or a nuisance.
An archetype is above all a great charge of energy or strength that can come to our aid as our most faithful ally. You only need to know whom to ask.
Early in his practice C. G. Jung noticed that people often live out the scripts of ancient myths and legends. This is how the archetypes took on the faces of the gods of different pantheons, whose scripts still play out in many of our lives.
At our meetings we will get to know passionate Aphrodite, warlike Artemis, gentle Kore, mysterious Hades and many other Archetypes.
The aims of the sessions:
- exploring the archetype itself — its traits, character and temperament.
- getting to know the life script it carries.
- getting to know how this archetype shows up in our modern lives.
- exploring the pluses and minuses of this archetype in a person’s life.
The practical part of the session is a constellation (raising/manifesting) of the archetype within yourself using the methods of the “School of Deep Transformations”.
Each meeting will include:
1) A theoretical part: a lecture and discussion with videos and photographs.
2) A practical part using deep transformation methods.
3) Answers to questions.
Total length: 3 hours.
